The HEAT Inc. CRIDE program aims to tackle Sierra Leone's education challenges, such as a lack of qualified teachers and poor school infrastructure, by identifying needy schools and higher learning institutions and providing them with essential resources to improve learning environments and educational standards.
Through training and advocacy, HEATInc Climate Change Awareness Campaign will engages students in higher learning institutions, community leaders, equipping them with the knowledge and skills to raise awareness and take action in local communities.
Young people are vital for sustainable change, yet many in rural Sierra Leone lack awareness of sustainable development. HEAT Inc. empowers youth through hands-on initiatives that directly benefit their communities.

HEAT Inc. to Participate in Landmark Climate Forum at CEC’s 32nd Annual Council Session
James Hallowell - Program Director
HEAT Incorporation is honored to announce that Program Director James Hallowell will attend the 32nd Annual Council Session of the Commission for Environmental Cooperation (CEC), including the Joint Public Advisory Committee (JPAC) Forum, held July 24–25 in Mexico City. This pivotal gathering centers on “Building Sustainable Economies: Nexus Between Circular Economy and Nature-Based Solutions in North America.”
This isn’t just another conference but a crucial moment for shaping global environmental policy and resilience. The session comes when the people of the United States, Canada, Mexico, and beyond face compounding environmental threats: extreme weather, pollution spikes, and rapid biodiversity loss. As CEC Executive Director Jorge Daniel Taillant underscores, “the decisions made now will determine the livability of our planet for generations.”
The forum convenes an unprecedented alliance of Indigenous leaders, sustainability experts, youth advocates, business innovators, and community stakeholders. Together, they will chart a path for bold climate action rooted in circular economies, regenerative practices, and nature-based solutions.
As a policy advocacy and service organization, HEAT Incorporation views this invitation as a call to action. Climate change knows no borders, and underserved populations feel its impact most severely. By joining this high-level dialogue, HEAT will amplify the voices of those often left out of environmental planning and ensure solutions reach the communities that need them most.
HEAT Inc. is committed to rallying partners, engaging stakeholders, and supporting the objectives of the CEC JPAC Forum. The board and management thank the organizers for this opportunity and pledge continued collaboration with changemakers across sectors.
The climate crisis demands coordinated, inclusive, and forward-thinking strategies. Together, we can shape policies that restore balance to our ecosystems and protect the health and dignity of future generations. The Earth is shared—its protection must be collective.
